Plone is powerful and
flexible. It is ideal as an intranet and extranet server, as a
document publishing system, a portal server and as a groupware
tool for collaboration between separately located entities. Plone
is easy and attractive for content managers to add, update, and
maintain content.
Plone
is a generic platform for web applications, as well as being a stand-alone
Content Management System in itself, and has quickly become one
of the biggest and most successful projects in the history of Zope.
It builds on the well-proven design of the CMF framework for Content
Management, and extends this with a lot of useful features. It also
integrates well with existing solutions, and complements them instead
of replacing them.
We
at Evolve use Plone which takes an open-source approach to best-of-breed
design for building dynamic and collaborative portals, intranets
and Web sites. We can interoperate Plone with most relational database
systems, open source and commercial, on any platforms, including
Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and BSD. We can design virtually
any website with Plone.
With the use of built-in
tools, customizable and highly usable interface we provide facilitation
of content creation, publication and retrieval of content on large
and complex Web sites.
